It's summer, and the one thing i can't resist is going to theaters to cool off and watch those big dumb summer movies.
just gotta say that so far i am unbelievably impressed!
First i saw the Transformers. I had to see it, i mean when i was a kid the Transformers were the only things I'd talk about other than GIjoe and how i hated school. I was totally ready to hate on this film- it's Michael Bay for christ sakes! suffice it to say, that i loved it. Lots of Robot on Robot action, nonexistent plot, a Bernie Mac cameo, and most importantly lots of humor that was actually funny!
Next i saw the new John McClane, Live Free or Die Hard and i know that I'll probably take this back later but fuck it, I loved it more than parts two and three. As much as i love things going BOOM! my favorite parts of the Die Hard movies are usually when John McClane is getting his ass kicked and he finds some extremely brutal and dirty way to kill his attacker. Not since the first Die Hard had i seen such memorable scenes as in this film. The special effects were amazing, Bruce Willis was in top form, and i was really impressed with Justin Long's performance! Go see this movie, it'll make you shave your head and want to blow up things!!!! _________________ -rob dAmAgE. |

Hey Rob, I just finally got a chance to check out "Pervert." Very... Russ Meyers-esque (Which makes it fitting that the movie is dedicated in his honor).
All I can say is... the killer was unexpected, the plot was ridiculously twisty, and Mary Carey has boobies. Nice boobies.
Thanks for the recommendation. I'd suggest we did this for the podcast, but it could get uncomfortable watching a movie with that much nudity in a room full of guys. We don't have enough pillows to cover ourselves with. Plus, if Ms. Pixie walked into the room... well... I'm not sure what her reaction would be. She probably wouldn't leave the room.
Anyway... thanks again! |
